What affects the price
- Vehicle size: a full-size truck or large SUV uses more film and takes longer than a compact sedan.
- Body lines: cars with complex bumpers, vents and sharp creases take more time to wrap cleanly.
- Coverage: a single panel, a full front or the whole car.
- Finish: clear gloss (Ultimate Plus) or satin (Stealth, +$499 on a full body).
- Paint condition: film goes over whatever is under it, so heavily chipped or swirled paint may need attention first.
Full front or full body?
A full front covers where nearly all rock chips happen and is the best value for most drivers. Full body makes sense if you want every panel protected from door dings, scratches and parking-lot wear, if you drive spirited or on track, or if you want a satin Stealth look.
Is PPF worth it?
Consider what it replaces. A front bumper respray costs real money, it's hard to match perfectly, and it can show up on a vehicle history check. PPF keeps the original paint intact, which helps resale value, especially on Teslas, Porsches, BMWs and Corvettes. XPEL Ultimate Plus is warrantied for 10 years against yellowing, cracking, peeling and bubbling.
